The desert as a mystical and metaphorical space. After a difficult few years navigating serious health issues, and menopause the image of the desert kept revealing itself to me through dreams, signs and synchronicity. The frontier country of the Wild West was a metaphor for this liminal space I found myself in. Yet it’s epic open skies, serene sense of peace and ancient ancestral wisdom helped me find my creative flow once more. Part of my global travel series marking all my favourite destinations.
