Fruit Salad

This was directly influenced by the iconic illustrations of Eric Carle, the author of the children’s classic book The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Children’s picture books are treasured sources of inspiration for me; both ones from my own childhood that I have passed down to my kids and new ones picked up on my travels. Our first introduction to the world of books long stays in our memories and artistic DNA and the humble fruit bowl is the classic still life subject; here is my  reimagined version.
